Randi Roanhaus, M.A., LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas with six years’ experience serving in the clinical mental health field, nine successful years in the career development field, twelve years in higher education, and twenty years in music ministry. She received her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Following her undergraduate pursuits, Randi completed Post-Baccalaureate studies in International Criminal Law in London, England.
Moved by experiences through unique interactions within education, travel, and music ministry, Randi was inspired to pursue her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from her alma mater. During her master’s program, Randi was afforded the opportunity to serve as a practicum counselor at a transitional shelter for individuals who had faced domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Additionally, as a practicum counselor she pioneered a community counseling program at a local area hospital while she simultaneously began developing her career counseling method, The Birthday Method©, when coordinating a university internship program.
You may be wondering what is The Birthday Method©? It is a Christ-centered career counseling method for students, collegians, alumni, and individuals in professional adulthood looking to start over or re-enter the employment sector. If you have ever wanted to express your “true self” within your career or desired to know what your personal, academic, relational, and/or professional career strengths really are – consider counseling to learn not only your significance but, the value of others around you.
Following graduation, Randi completed her post-graduate internship years in a newly established private practice serving a tri-county area as well as inside correctional settings using her preferred specializations in crisis, behavioral, academic, career, trauma, individual, and couples counseling.
Randi’s love for technology and the opportunity to reach the “unreachable” through tele-mental health counseling strengthened over the past two years as she had the opportunity to operate within this capacity via in-patient and out-patient services for individual’s in remote areas or facilities requiring security clearance. As her caseload increased, she successfully pre-launched tele-mental health services allowing for seamless transition and therapeutic support during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Through online technology Randi continues to provide online counseling throughout the state of Texas. If you are seeking therapy with a Christ-centered focus, schedule an appointment today.
