Whitni Toson, MA, LPC

Whitni is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over ten years of experience working in the mental health field. Whitni is a North Carolina native who knew at an early age that she wanted to make a difference in the world. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, North Carolina.

From there, Whitni pursued her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. While in the Master’s program, Whitni gained experience as a Student Counselor working in a women’s shelter, a residential substance abuse treatment facility, and a long-term care facility.

Susan joins Alamo Ranch Counseling and Wellness in the fall of 2020 as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) specializing in her work with adolescents and adults. Susan completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas State University and graduated with a 4.0 and her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Jackie Hodges, M.A., LPC

Areas of Focus: Adults/Teens/ LGBTQ+ /Mood Disorders/Anxiety/ Grief and Loss

Jackie Hodges is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She grew up in Corpus Christi and moved to San Antonio, where she proudly calls home. She enjoys nature walks, being by the water, and watching movies with her family.

She has been working in the counseling profession since 2008 and is passionate about helping people find the strength to empower themselves while facing difficult times. She has worked with people experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and mood disorders, such as bipolar disorder. Jackie has experience working with teens, members of the LGBTQ+ community, pregnancy loss and infertility, and the BIPOC community.

Madeline "Maddy" Johnson

Madeline Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas. Madeline is a New Orleans native who has always had a passion for helping others. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, where she continued her journey by moving to San Antonio for her Master’s.

She pursued her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s College. While in her Master’s program, Madeline gained experience at the Family Life Center Clinic and The Rape Crisis Center. Madeline has advanced training in Trauma Focused-CBT, Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1, and specializes in her work with adults, teens, families, and couples. Her areas of expertise include trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, familial/spousal relationships, LGBTQ+ community issues, and grief and loss.

Madeline approaches her work in a culturally sensitive, inclusive, trauma-informed, and collaborative manner and works to develop a safe, empathetic, and encouraging space where clients can find healing and seek solutions that will bring about life-lasting change. In her free time, Madeline enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and playing with her rescue kitty, Arlo.

Krystal Hoff

Krystal Hoff is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas. Krystal grew up in a military family traveling throughout the southern United States. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and achieved her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Texas A&M San Antonio.

Krystal has advanced training in Solution Focused and Narrative Therapy. She uses these approaches to help in areas of parenting, divorce/ separation, distress, anxiety, anger management, depression, and self-esteem. Krystal provides counseling to individuals (teens and adults), couples and families.

Krystal believes everyone should live their best life and is looking forward to meeting you to help you gain the tools to live authentically.

Jasmine Idrogo

Jasmine Idrogo,MS, LPC-Associate

Jasmine graduated with her bachelor’s degree in both psychology and criminal justice from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas, where she is from. There, Jasmine grew a passion for learning about substance misuse and how it affects the adolescent population at large. Jasmine graduated with her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas in San Antonio and completed her internship at Rise Recovery, which serves adolescents receiving recovery-related support.

Jasmine has the experience and clinical interest in topics relating to trauma, anxiety, addiction, mindfulness, post-traumatic growth, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, positive psychology, and eating disorders.

Jasmine is passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for her clients and loves advocating for multicultural issues. Jasmine works great with adolescent populations, minorities, and those in recovery from addiction or other addictive behaviors. She loves advocating for physical wellbeing via mindfulness, exercise, and practicing gratitude.

In her free time, Jasmine competes in powerlifting on a national level; she loves to go hiking, travel, and dance! Jasmine can spend all day outdoors, in water, and on an adventure. She considers herself a coffee connoisseur, can eat breakfast all day and loves to watch lots of movies and tv shows!

James Grisham

James D. Grisham

James is a Marriage and Family Therapist graduate student at Touro University and completed his BA at Arizona State University.

James is dedicated to helping those who find themselves in situations that seem impossible to overcome. He believes an abundant and joy-filled life is available for those who seek to change unhealthy patterns in their lives and improve their relationships. James has over 25 years of experience in corporate management and is compassionate with those struggling with juggling career and family and managing both stresses.

James’ wide range of experience includes parenting, marriage, trauma, grief, crisis, depression, anxiety, co-dependency, anger management, addiction, men’s issues, sexual disorders and issues, and group therapy.

He has been married for nine years, has one teenage daughter and two parrots, and he wholeheartedly believes in continuing education.

Hollyn Ledman

Hollyn "Holly" Ledman

Student Intern-Supervised by Whitni Toson, MA, LPC-S

Hollyn joins Alamo Ranch Counseling and Wellness as a Liberty University graduate student. Hollyn obtained her bachelor’s degree in special education from Liberty University in 2019 and entered her master’s in clinical mental health counseling program in 2020. She previously worked as a school-based therapist with children ages 5-12. She thoroughly enjoyed working collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents in order to best benefit her students’ well-being both at home and in the classroom. Hollyn is working under the direct supervision of Whitni Toson as a therapist intern; she is eager to broaden her scope of knowledge as she continues her path toward becoming a licensed professional counselor.

Hollyn’s primary clinical interests include holistic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and art therapy. She is passionate about helping clients who have endured trauma, burnout, anxiety, depression, and chronic illness through integrative therapy modalities. Hollyn is devoted to promoting growth, resilience, and long-term healing by creating a customized therapeutic experience that caters to each client’s individual needs.

Hollyn enjoys Lagree Pilates, spending quality time with her pets, and going on nature walks in her free time. She is also fond of traveling, immersing herself in new cultures and customs, and experiencing the local cuisine wherever she goes.
