Jasmine graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in both psychology and criminal justice from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas, where she is from. Jasmine recently graduated with her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas in San Antonio and completed her internship at Rise Recovery, which serves adolescents receiving recovery-related support.
Jasmine has experience and clinical interest in topics relating to trauma, anxiety, addiction, mindfulness, post-traumatic growth, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, positive psychology, and eating disorders.
Jasmine is passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for her clients and emphasizes building a therapeutic alliance. Jasmine works great with adolescent populations, minorities, those in recovery from addiction or other addictive behaviors, those struggling with life changes/transitions, individuals struggling with relationship issues, and individuals wanting to make a change in their lives. She loves advocating for physical well-being via mindfulness, exercise, and practicing gratitIn her free time, Jasmine competes in powerlifting on a national level; she loves to go hiking, travel, and dance! Jasmine can spend all day outdoors, in water, and on an adventure. She considers herself a coffee connoisseur, can eat breakfast all day, and loves to watch lots of movies and tv shows!
