Sierra Miller is a counseling student intern who is pursuing her graduate degree from St. Mary’s University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Sierra relocated to San Antonio when she joined the military in 2011. From her experience in the Air Force, Sierra was motivated to seek a career in helping others. Sierra went to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
During her time at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and St Mary’s University, Sierra has gained clinical experience at the Center for Healthcare Services and the Family Life Center. Sierra also has experience working with the military population and their family members.
She specializes in working with teens and adults. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, self esteem, and major life events/transitions.
Sierra approaches her work in a culturally sensitive, inclusive manner and works to develop a trusting and safe space for clients. She believes in fostering strength, healing, and empowerment with her clients collaboratively. Sierra enjoys spending time with her family and trying new recipes in her free time.
